My story
I’m Rooha, a London-based interaction designer who enjoys making complicated things feel considered, clear and human.
As a Computer Science graduate I started my career in the world of front-end development but over the last few years my career moved naturally towards UX and a desire to gain a deeper understanding of purposeful design.
Away from the pixels, I’m usually reading from my home library, working on my first novel or playing the newest cosy game.
The practical history
Education
Goldsmiths, University of London · 2016-2019
My final year dissertation was a research based project on “Increasing popularity of Single Page Applications and their effects on User Experience”, analysing the benefits of data-driven intuitive Single Page Applications against traditional web applications and understanding architectural, design and technical enhancements in the next generation of the web.

Working within the product directorate on various streams of work.

The National Archives · 2019-2023
Worked within Digital Archiving and helped to create outstanding digital services to the public, government departments and academic researchers. Most notably worked within the Transfer of Digital Records project and Find Case Law.
Earlier
Moonhub · 2019
Worked as a Front-end Developer for an innovative and vibrant company called MoonHub. My role consisted of developing their RoVR training system and distinguish it from other learning platforms. The technology I use consists of React.js where I built the front-end structure of their application from scratch and assisted with UX/UI Design.
